Introduction Cycling

Cycling, MTB and E-BIKE in the Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche

The Sierra de Aracena is an ideal destination for cycling enthusiasts. Its extensive network of public paths connects villages and hamlets through an exceptional natural environment, allowing you to explore the region in an active, authentic and environmentally friendly way. With more than 186,000 hectares of forest —holm oaks, cork oaks, chestnut trees, deciduous and coniferous forests— this unique landscape offers the perfect setting to explore by bike.

🌿 Routes through nature and charming villages

The network of trails, largely away from busy roads, makes it possible to enjoy routes of one or several days in the heart of nature. Cycling through varied landscapes, you will discover the 28 villages and 35 hamlets of the natural park, many of them recognised as historical heritage sites, with a rich legacy of castles, churches, chapels and fountains.

👉 Each village is approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour by bike from the next.

Read more Levels and difficulty
The cycling routes are generally of medium to high difficulty, due to the terrain's topography. Although the altitude is not extreme (the highest point is Cerro del Castaño, at 962m), the terrain is mountainous and often rocky and technical, with sections that will delight the most experienced cyclists. There are also easier routes, ideal for beginners or for family enjoyment. Experience Molino Río Alájar. The routes can be organised over several days, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the nature, culture, and gastronomy of the Sierra. At Molino Río Alájar, we offer you: • Detailed information about routes and trails • Personalised recommendations according to your level • Cultural and gastronomic suggestions during the tour
